About 2017 America’s Cup:
In June of 2017, the race is on to win the coveted America’s Cup Trophy, and Bermuda has been selected for the venue of this prestigious race. Other finalists in consideration for the home of the 2017 America’s Cup were Chicago and San Diego, but Bermuda was ultimately selected in a decision that was announced in December of 2014.

The America’s Cup trophy, also known as Auld Mug, was first awarded in 1851. Since then, the America’s Cup race has seen rule changes, been held in several places, and has endured as one of the most prestigious awards in the world of sailing.

America’s Cup Village will be located at the Royal Naval Dockyard. It is there that the team bases, pit row, food and beverage service, and entertainment will be located.
